Q and A with cofounder of Boss Bread Ent

Interview conducted by lv da don v.p of public relations for Boss Bread Entertainment
Note:intital interview was conducted using a digital audio recorder and then transcribed.

Hello ladies and gentleman as our flagship artist and co founder of the digital record label Boss Bread Entertainment prepares to release his debut mixtape, we sat down with him and discussed some things with him ranging from fashion tastes to favorite sports teams.and also other business ventures he is embarking on.

Q,)What is Boss Bread Entertainment and how was it conceived?

A.)Boss Bread entertainment was conceived by me and my college roommate at the Art Institute of Philadelphia. I was taking audio engineering and he was taking graphic design. Me and him always had a taste for quality music and would muse about, surprisingly more the business aspect of the entertainment industry as opposed to the actual art side. we would be burning l's and talking about things like distribution effecting record sales negatively due to people starting to drift from actual hard copy or physical units like Cd's and gearing more to the streaming medium. So one day we decided we wanted to start a record label. At the time we had no idea what a digital label was so at the onset of the inception of the label it would have been considered an indie label.....a poorly funded one at that though. So we sat down and bounced ideas off of each other about what to call it and I came up with boss bread which stands for business operatives seeking success by reaching every applicable demographic. It stuck.

Q.)How is your label different from others?

A.)Well Boss bread is different in many aspects but at the same time we are firm believers in traditionalism. the old adage if its not broke why fix it rings true in many aspects but there is always room for innovative practices in any business. One thing that sets BBE apart is of course our staff. We have a collective of talent in many different areas. we work with artists as in actually painting artist, we work with photographers, pretty much any one that has a dedication to work and make a legacy can find a place at boss bread. Another thing that separate us is our desire to be involved in the music scenes of foreign countries, not to say that major labels or other independents don't but that was a founding ideology that derived from a conversation I had with a female associate of A.$.A.P  Mob who at the time where really taking off. She was friends with the member A$AP Ant and we (me and her) used to blow trees and one day we were talking and i told her i want to pop in the uk before anything and she was like yo ant be saying the same ish, so that desired derived from that conversation ,rather the actual act of doing it as the idea had been there all along.

Q.) Who are some of your influence both in music and in business?

A.)Wow good question past or present?

Q.)Both

A.)well in the music realm i would be remiss not to say Motown or of course Micheal Jackson. His stage presence was amazing. That's something a lot of cats getting in the game lack in my opinion is showmanship like yea your an artist but your an entertainer before anything you have to captivate the imagination of your audience and you always have to leave them hungry and wanting more of you. Sounds crazy but they should desire your presence even if the music is not involved because then that opens up avenues to more things like branding and endorsements which equals more residual income.
That's something I learned from Kim k. she is a brand like her name alone is worth money because she branded herself and she is always in the public eye and aside from her reality show she made no artistic contribution to the entertainment industry initially, now she has video games, cosmetic lines and a clothing brand so she is to me one of the innovators of the digital age of branding in regards to generating wealth off of your image alone.

Q,)What is your favorite sports team?

A.) Which sports? Because I love the eagles always will but basketball, Philly has been taking some l's like five years in a row so in basketball i would have to say i don't. Oh by the way shouts out to tha boy Leodis Mckelvin, he from Waycross i got alot of love for Waycross and he just got traded to the eagles so it makes it easier for me to wish him the best.

Q.)Now i know that one of the requirements of working for the label is mandatory community service what inspired that executive decision.?

A.)I believe giving back to the community is paramount. There's kids out there that need guidance that need direction. Leadership is a very important aspect to being successful in life let alone business. And in order to be an effective leader you must know what it means to follow and to serve others. So that's why one of the requirements to work here is community service from the CEO and CFO down to the mail room team and the sanitation department. We host a single parents cook out every year in different Cites around the time the kid's go back to school. we give out free material's for school like backpacks and other things. We're in the process of initiating a Human Trafficking initiative to combat some of the effects of human trafficking and human trafficking overall.

Q.) Are there any projects or updates that you would like people to know about before we end the interview?

A.) Right now we are gearing up to release my debut mix tape pyrex pimp that being pushed by a banger called outchea thats being mastered as we speak and we are looking at a late spring release date i have the single off of the album shieklifestyl out and about doing numbers and next month SODMG Promotions is going to take over our day to day promotion efforts especially tat my body which as i said is doing good and other than that we are lining up shows and always looking for new talent to develop and work with so if any body wants to get down we taking applications so to speak.

Q.) what is your social media and where can they get in contact with you.
